TRADING RULES
Community Guidelines for TopDeck.hk
DO
- ✓Be honest about card conditions - describe any flaws accurately
- ✓Use clear photos showing the actual cards you're listing
- ✓Respond promptly to messages - even if just to say you need more time
- ✓Honor your commitments - if you agree to a trade, follow through
- ✓Meet in safe, public places for in-person trades
- ✓Leave fair feedback after completing trades
- ✓Update or remove listings when cards are sold or unavailable
- ✓Be respectful - treat others how you'd want to be treated
- ✓Verify cards before completing high-value trades
- ✓Report suspicious activity to help keep our community safe
DON'T
- ✗List counterfeit cards as real - this will result in immediate ban
- ✗Misrepresent condition - a card with a crease is not "NM"
- ✗Use stock photos or images of different cards than you're selling
- ✗Ghost or no-show on agreed meetups
- ✗Harass other users - respect when someone says no
- ✗Create multiple accounts to manipulate feedback or avoid bans
- ✗Engage in price manipulation or shill bidding
- ✗Share personal information of other users
- ✗Use offensive language or discriminatory behavior
- ✗Spam listings or post duplicate cards to game the system
CONSEQUENCES
Violations of these rules will result in action proportional to the offense:
First offense (minor):
Warning via email/message
Repeated or serious violations:
Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
Severe violations:
Permanent ban from TopDeck.hk
Immediate permanent ban for:
- • Selling counterfeit cards as genuine
- • Scamming other users
- • Threats or harassment
- • Illegal activity of any kind
All decisions are at our discretion. We may also report illegal activity to Hong Kong authorities.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items may NOT be listed on TopDeck.hk:
Absolutely Prohibited:
- • Counterfeit/fake cards
- • Stolen merchandise
- • Cards you don't own
- • Illegal items of any kind
Not Allowed:
- • Non-TCG items (unless bundled)
- • Digital-only products/codes
- • Blank/playtest cards as real
- • Inappropriate/offensive items
Proxies / Custom Cards:
Proxy cards and custom alterations may only be listed if clearly labeled as such in the title AND description. Never misrepresent a proxy as an authentic card.
What IS Allowed:
- • Magic: The Gathering cards (all sets)
- • Other TCGs (Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, etc.)
- • Sealed products (boosters, boxes, etc.)
- • Accessories bundled with cards
- • Clearly labeled proxies/alters
FEEDBACK GUIDELINES
Fair feedback helps our community thrive:
- ▸Leave feedback within 7 days of completing a trade
- ▸Be honest but fair - one minor issue shouldn't tank someone's rating
- ▸Don't leave feedback for trades that didn't happen
- ▸Don't threaten negative feedback to get discounts
- ▸Resolve disputes before leaving negative feedback when possible
Note: We may remove feedback that violates these guidelines or appears to be fake/manipulated. Feedback manipulation (buying/selling ratings) will result in a permanent ban.
